DIY Paper Garland

papergarland1

I have wanted to make paper garland forever, but all of the tutorials I’ve seen require a sewing machine. That, I do not have. So I finally decided to throw one together with a glue stick and some twine, and guess what? It totally worked! This is really simple, took all of about 10 minutes once I started and adds a little bit of festive to our entryway :)

All you need is:

  • twine – I found this in the scrapbooking aisle of Target, but you can also purchase twine at ShopTomKat.com (amongst other incredibly cute stuff to craft with)
  • card stock
  • glue stick or zots
  • scissors
  • tape
  • paper punches, or just free hand them, or use your silhouette or cricut to cut some circles out for you

Punch out your shapes, cut your twine, glue one shape to the other with the twine in between, tape it up wherever your little heart desires ;)

The beauty of this is you likely already have the majority of the elements you need to make it :)

So cute!! I did a similar thing for my sons nusery. Fabric pennant garland. I just cut fabric with pinking sheers and glued them over the yarn w fabric glue! I’m not a perfectionist, so it worked for me! I didn’t think of doing a tiny one like yours. Thanks.
