This may be a long one, but stick with me if you…. are bored? Love pictures? Love me?
Each year our order of events is as follows: Parent’s house, In-Law’s House, Gram & Grandpa’s, back to Parent’s House.
Before we headed back home to my parents house, we went to see good ‘ol Santa
I made the girls take a picture in their Santa clothes before we left…
Then we went to Bass Pro to see Santa, they had a pretty neat setup and Evie was so excited she fell asleep, I had to wake her up right before we got to the front of the line..
After she saw Santa, she did this…
My handsome Husband and Chloe rode the carousel and we did a little shopping.
The next day we headed back home to spend Christmas with our families in North Texas. My Sister, her Husband and my precious little Nephew were leaving to spend Christmas with my brother-in-law’s family in Wyoming this year so we opened presents to and from them before they left. Aunt Tootie bought her girls TCU cheerleading outfits that are so darn cute I think I’m going to have their picture made in them.
The next day Chloe woke up not feeling so well…
Her fever broke long enough for us to head over to my in-laws house on Christmas Eve. Poor baby had to carry a trash can in the car just in case :/
We had dinner, dessert and opened presents. It’s such a fun tradition to get to see everyone on Christmas Eve. My Mother in Law made a yummy dinner and Matt’s Granny made candy that I look forward to every year (my brother and sister in law do now as well, because I bring them some home lol). I also snapped a picture of my sweet little Husband on his Mom’s Christmas tree
Awww!
After my in-laws we go to my Gram and Grandpa’s house, where Uncle Eric accidentally opened little Evie’s present ha! In his defense, the name totes looked like it said Eric
Evie, Eric, in cursive…it’s tricky.
Chloe got to hang out with her bff, (second cousin) Kash man. They are only 6 days apart and love, love, love each other.
After Gram & Grandpa’s we have a big slumber party at my parent’s house. We read The Christmas Story in the Bible, leave a piece of Jesus’ Birthday cake out for Santa, and carrots for the reindeer, and hit the hay so Santa can come!
Christmas morning, Chloe had pretty much zero interest in opening presents. She just smiled and fell asleep off and on while she made her Uncle Bone and Aunt Brandi do the unwrapping for her
She loves her Uncle Bone & Aunt B. I think snuggling with them on the couch was more fun for her than presents anyhow. She is still under the weather (we all are now) but at least she’s begun to play with all of her new toys in between wiping her little runny nose and taking Ibuprofen
Then something really strange happened. It snowed. In Texas. Don’t get me wrong, it’s happened in the past, but for some reason we are always surprised and elated
After opening presents on Christmas morning, we headed over to my Aunt Melinda’s (Ninna) house for dinner. Her tree? No words. It looks like a department store tree with a “party” on the top
After dinner we headed back to my parent’s house and the streets were pretty much covered in ice. That’s the thing about snow in Texas, it’s usually just sugar coated ice. We saw no less than 5 cars flipped over on our 30 minute drive home. Luckily the wrecks we did see were those that everyone appeared to be safely standing outside of their vehicle looking at it like “holy crap, did that just happen…”. Literally, emergency lights every quarter of a mile.
The next morning we headed back home to San Antonio, all snuggled up in the car. I love a good road trip, and it’s a good thing, because I love my family and visiting home
We’ve spent the past couple of days organizing, purging old stuff (again) and playing. I love this time of year.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

I love your Christmas photos! I’m so glad it snowed in TX this year too.
Also, I’m not sure what it is about the days following Christmas, but it throws me into organization mode as well. I’m two closets away from my apartment being completely organized and deep cleaned from top to bottom (much easier when you don’t have kiddos I’m sure, lol!).
Thanks Jess! I don’t know what it is, likely the accumulation of new stuff stacked on top of older stuff we no longer need? I purged in advance this year and still had the urge to throw stuff away and reorganize lol I am nowhere near done with the whole house, you are super organized sista!
Love it
Those girls are gorgeous!!!
Thanks, sista
Love the birthday cake for Jesus idea
If I had kids I’d have to steal the idea
LoL you are more than welcome, steal away
We try and find as many ways as possible to tie Santa together with the reason for the season.
Oh man, poor Chloe with the trash can! Hope you are all on the mend now!
Looks like you had a fab-oh Christmas! Beautiful pics!
Love ya!
