Our little Evie is officially 6 months old now, and I have somehow managed to keep up with taking monthly pictures of her cute little face. Each month I get a reminder on my phone to take a picture, sometimes it’s a week late, but I eventually remember to remember
Here is what I have so far…
Every month it never fails, we have a couple of visitors. The first is always Patton. The General loves a good photo opportunity and even more than that, loves to protect his babies.
Once Chloe notices her shadow has gone missing, here she comes…

For the record, those holy pillowcases are just now how we like them. It takes a good 3 years or so and lots of wear and tear for them to be soft enough for mine and Chloe’s approval. Don’t judge me. Jersey cotton pillowcase + Royal Velvet brand white down pillows from Bed Bath & Beyond = Heaven. Try them, seriously. They are the only pillows I can sleep on. Ever since I was a little girl I have only slept on these pillows. Alrighty, moving on…
Once I regain order in the house, we go back to taking tons of photos so we can get one that will work for the photo of the month. At first I had Evie in this tutu, then I realized I would not have enough room to PhotoShop the month onto her onesie.
So the tutu had to go.
I found this idea on YoungHouseLove.com, but have definitely not mastered the art of the perfect photo like they have. There are so many cute, cute ways to take monthly photos of your little ones. A quick Pinterest search made me feel overwhelmed and unworthy. I do, however, really love these ideas on Babble.
Of course, I also have these free printable monthly signs I designed for your baby pictures.

Love this idea!! Oh, how I wished I would have seen this before! My little girls are 3 and 11 months (tomorrow)! They grow up so fast and this is a great way to make those memories last <3
Beautiful girls by the way
Thank you! I wish I had done this with my 4 year old too. The pre-pinterest days were hard on us all lol!
I know! How did we manage without Pinterest!!?? LOL
I did this for my son. He received so many beautiful outfits and handmade baby blankets as gifts that each month I dressed him in a new outfit and used one of the gift blankets as the background. This way we have a record of not only his sweet face and growing size but also the beautiful gifts he received from family and friends. He’s 11 now, and he still likes looking at his “first year” pictures . . . and so does his Mama.
How neat! I love that!
Love Evie’s eyes in that first picture!
Hi Lindsey, I know you’re on maternity leave, but I hope you read this! I’m the co creator of a new iPhone app that we created to do exactly what you’re doing with your photos of Evie.
Lifetime In My Pocket is designed to help parents take, keep and share memories of their kids growing up. I came up with the idea after realising just how many photos of my kids I have on file, which I never really look at.
Lifetime takes all those photos, sorts them by age and creates a cool video slideshow.
You can see it in action at http://www.lifetimeinmypocket.com, on Facebook or on the app store

Hope you like it!
