As most of you know, when posts get to lagging on momandwife.com it’s likely due to my schedule at Pretty Darn Cute Design. Over the past few months I have been working on a new premade theme and I am ecstatic to announce that it is now for sale in the fabulous StudioPress Community Marketplace! I’m currently using my new theme, Adorable, here on MomAndWife.com
If you dig the look of this site, you can get a similar look by purchasing Adorable, here.
The Adorable theme was designed with the modern day blogger and business owner in mind. Adorable is built on the fabulous Genesis framework, therefore giving your website the best foundation possible to excel. Adorable comes with various color options (5) for you to choose from, gives you 6 different layout options as well as a widgetized home page. Your home page widgets can contain any information you like. The demo shows featured posts alongside their featured images, but you could also place text widgets, image widgets, your facebook “like” box etc.. The possibilities are endless and you can truly make Adorable your own with a few clicks of your mouse.
More information, including requirements, can be found on my design site: here

geez louise, girl! you are so talented! also, HUGE thx to your whole family for the sacrifices you make as military family! GOD BLESS YOU!!!

You are so sweet, thank you!
I had Modern Blogger in the shopping cart for my brand new blogging adventure. I have a mildly popular “mommy blog” … but this new site I’m putting together is just for me.
Not that anyone will know it’s me.
Anyway! I don’t remember what I was looking for, but before I clicked to buy, I notice you have a new theme up. An amazing new theme. I am at a total loss now as to which one to go with. It’s a good problem to have, guess I’ll sleep on it. You do such beautiful work. Thank you for making this choice hard for me in such a good way. ^_^
You are so sweet, thank you for the kind words! Best of luck to you in your new blogging venture! Adorable is more for content heavy sites, but comes with an optional secondary home page (widget area above recent posts similar to Modern Blogger) as Modern Blogger works well for personal blogs.
Hey Lindsey! I’ve just had a web designer move me to self-hosted wordpress from blogger, and she suggested your adorable theme for me. It’s working perfectly for my needs! I absolutely love it! I was wondering if you could offer some assistance, though. I want my search results to show up as truncated with a “read more” link like yours here: http://momandwife.com/?s=adorable
Right now, my search results show up as the full post: http://unskinnyboppy.com/?s=mantel
This is a very hard way to search! Could you share how to make my search results truncated like yours?
Do I have to use truncated posts for my entire blog to get this to happen? I’d prefer for my newest post to be full size, but if I need to truncate them all to get this to work I can do that. I’m hoping its a simple fix!
Hi Beth
All you need to do is sign into your dashboard, click on “Genesis” then “Theme Settings” then scroll down to the “Content Archives” section and select “Display Post Excerpts” and check the box next to “Include Featured Image”
Your site looks great, I’m so glad you’re loving the theme!
Thank you SO much for your quick response! I really appreciate it. That worked perfectly, and so easily. YAY!
You might also be happy to know that my web designer got my site featured on Studiopress Showcase, so hopefully that will drive some traffic your direction.

Thanks again!
Beth
Glad to help and congrats on the showcase!
Hey Lindsey- I have another issue that is driving me nuts and wanted to see if you can help since I cannot even figure this out with Google! Why do line breaks not show up on my homepage? I can see line breaks on my permalink URL, but not on my homepage. I want my blog entry to look the same on my home page as my permalink.
For instance, when I go here I see breaks: http://unskinnyboppy.com/2012/10/this-is-a-test-of-the-emergency-line-break-system/
When I go here, I see no breaks: http://unskinnyboppy.com
Is this a CSS thing? Do you know of any quick fixes for this? It’s been driving me crazy for months now and I’d love to fix it!
Thanks so much!
Hi there! Love your themes. I am getting ready to install Adorable on my faith/personal blog. I noted you mentioned in a comment above that Modern Blogger may be a better fit for a personal blog, but as of right now, as far as I can tell, Modern Blogger is not a responsive theme. Is that correct? Anyways, I love Adorable and since I am increasing my content, I think I can make it work for me!
Hi Barbie! You are correct, Modern Blogger is not responsive. Adorable can be very easily made into a specific blog friendly layout, however
You can utilize the home page widgets however you like, add featured post widgets or whatever you want. You can also just leave them empty and your most recent posts will show up
Just let me know if you have any additional questions, I am happy to help!
