Homemade Tortilla Chips

{ iPhone Picture }

These are delicious. The fact that they took a whole 2 seconds (slight exaggeration) to throw together made them all that much more satisfying.

Here are the short but sweet directions:

  • Use a pastry brush to apply olive oil to each side of your corn tortillas
  • Stack them back up and cut into 4′s
  • Lay them flat on a baking sheet and sprinkle sea salt over them
  • Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or slightly golden.

Enjoy!

For a sweet variation of this you could use butter instead of oil and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar instead of salt :)

    Mmm, I do this all the time with flour tortillas! Time to try it with corn tortillas. :) And DEFINITELY the sweet version!

    I’m with Meghan, I do it with flour, but never tried corn! Might have to do that! They are always a big hit when I make them, easy to cut too if you use a pizza cutter. :)

    Sounds super simple and fun. My son is 7 and gets a kick out of eating things he makes himself. This is the perfect after school activity next week.
