Everyone Needs An Alice

“Hello, my name is Candace, and grocery shopping with my toddler makes me anxious!” I’d like to think I’m not alone in feeling this way, maybe because it helps me feel better. Regardless, I’m constantly trying to think of ways to keep my grocery shopping time at a minimum. I always have a list, always try to have something to keep Wy busy…yadda, yadda…I’ve done all that. Wyatt is usually pretty good. However, it’s hard to decide which flavor of ice cream to indulge in that week, or which block of cheese I’ll need, when he’s chatting my ear off about how he likes someone’s shoes (actually happened).

I am happy to say that I stumbled across this sweet little time saver while perusing through my Redbook magazine a couple of weeks ago:

Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to Alice.com. Your one stop shop for purchasing all of your home essentials (toilet paper, laundry detergent, cleaners, office supplies, etc). Shipping is always free as long as you purchase at least 6 items! If you have a busy household like mine, that is never a problem.

Here’s how it works: You sign up for FREE and set up your product profile based on the ages & sexes of the folks living under your roof. It even breaks it down to help you shop for items in each room of your home. The site is extremely user friendly. I was so impressed!

Once you set up your profile, you can select the items you want to purchase. As you do so, the website will ask you when you think you might run out. This is so they can send you an email reminder that you may be running low. It’s totally customizable (is that a word, or did I just make that up?!).

An additional bonus: Alice.com actually finds coupons for you and adds them right next to the item to allow for easier decision making.

    Here’s what I ordered:

  • Paper Towels
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Deodorant
  • Dish Soap
  • Kids Toothpaste
  • Lotion
  • Shaving Cream
  • Applesauce

I ordered it Tuesday and received it Thursday! When I went to the grocery store, all I had to get was food! SUH-WEET!

Call me a huge nerd all you want (it’s true, I know), but I am a nerd who just figured out how to shave half off her grocery shopping time by letting someone else get the items together and bring them to her doorstep! (Yes, I realize that sentence isn’t grammatically correct. My mind is too tired to attempt to fix it.)

Click the banner below to get started on your own Alice.com account. How can you resist a website who’s motto, “Everybody Needs an Alice”, makes you reminisce of the good ‘ol Brady Bunch days?! Too cute!

The Adventure Continues…

Love,

Mrs. Robinson

I tried to sign up and they only serve the 48 states, not Alaska or Hawaii. Ugh. Maybe one day.

AWwww! Sorry, Ginni! That stinks! :o (

What a great idea! I was just talking to a friend of mine and said that the grocery store should have your dry goods ready for you when you go so that you only have to focus on the food items. This is even better!

PS: I just found your blog today and love it! Great job!
