Candace is a personal friend of mine and a hoot to hang out with! I’m so happy she agreed to start guest blogging here at MomAndWife.com, I know all of you will love her as much as I do.
Lindsey

Hi, I’m Candace! I am a working mom with a 2 year old son and a husband who is diligently working to
finish his college degree. I’m excited to add my little piece to momandwife.com. After all, I’m a mom and
a wife. You’d think I’d be able to easily find a topic worthy enough to fit in.
My little family is on a seriously tight budget while my husband finishes getting his degree. So, what’s a
girl to do? I’ve found myself diving onto the web googling (did I even spell that right??), “budget friendly
meals”, “inexpensive places/things to entertain kids”, “fun date nights”. I’ve discovered several websites
recently that I’d like to share.
One of my favorites is this one! Yes, I love this website, Momandwife.com. Seriously! I encourage
everyone to take full advantage of the recipe section. It includes some heavenly, delicious, southern
recipes. I highly recommend the Baked Mac N Cheese and the Taco Soup recipes. And of course, let’s
not forget the “Freebies” section! Who doesn’t love freebies?!
My next favorite is Nickjr.com. This website has proved to be an amazing resource for me recently.
The “Texas Blizzard” that blew through last week, caused us to be stuck in our apt for 4 days straight.
I was scrambling to find fun things for my crazy boy to do, without sitting him in front of the TV.
NickJr.com has an abundance of ideas to keep your kid busy!! From educational online games, to arts
& crafts projects, you’re sure to find something your child will find entertaining. They may even learn a
little something too!
Lastly, I cannot seem to get enough of these discount websites, Groupon.com and Mamapedia.com. I
am addicted! Both websites are amazing resources for finding new places to visit, at a deeply discounted
rate. It’s fun to try out new places and even more fun to know I am saving money while doing so. The
hubster and I already have two date nights lined up at places we never would’ve known about had it not
been for Groupon. I love trying new places out! Yay!
Anybody else have any websites they would like to share?
The adventure continues…
~Mrs. Robinson

Hey- I know Candace and I LOVE HER!! She’s been such a great friend to me! She’s the one that referred me to this site! I would also recommend kraftfoods.com (my personal favorite website), kidsteals.com and babysteals.com (they offer discounted items each day updated at 10am everyday), thefrugalgirls.com, signing up for the email updates at babycenter.com – they offer lots of fund craft ideas to do with your child that are age appropriate. I also follow bentolunch.net blog for great budget-kid-friendly lunch ideas. Hope you enjoy these websites.
Yay! I’m diggin’ all of your suggestions! I also LOVE babycenter.com! Good stuff!
I’m so proud of my daughter in law!
The other Mrs. Robinson
These are some great websites I go to and some I’ve recently found out about:
http://www.zulily.com
http://www.babyearth.com (they have great sales!)
http://www.thebudgetmommy.com (she has an entire page of daily deal sites)
http://www.couponcravings.com
And don’t forget about Amazon Mom! If you are having to routinely buy certain items (for me diapers and wipes) you can subscribe and sign up for monthly deliveries (one, two, or three months at a time) and they give you an additional discount so the prices are comprable to Sam’s but you aren’t having to get out and drive there yourself! Another perk to this is that you get “prime” shipping – fast & free!
Great job, Mrs. Robinson!
I’m always looking for deals too. We’re living on a very conservative budget as well. I’ve heard several people write recently about groupon. Guess I’m gonna have to go check it out!
I highly recommend it! I didn’t really get it at first. Then one day they posted a Bath & Body Works deal. $30 gift card for $15 and I was hooked!
