Chocolate Dipped Chocolate

With my Daughter’s Birthday fast approaching I’ve been looking into desserts I can make for her party. More specifically: desserts that I can make at home, that are pretty, and also inexpensive to make. Today I had the brainy idea to dip candy into more candy :) I used red food coloring, vanilla “chocolate” candy melts, lollipop sticks and various candies.

Up first was a marshmallow, that didn’t go so hot since I allowed the chocolate to chill too long (while I chased my daughter around the house) so I’ll have to try that one again sometime. I also tried drizzling pink chocolate on top of a fun-size snickers, again, had I not let the chocolate cool too long this would have been pretty cute!
Then I tried emulating a cakepop with a Lindor Truffle… (it turned out alright, sprinkles would’ve been a cute addition?)

Finally, I tried a Reeces peanut butter cup. I spooned a tiny bit of pink chocolate on top and then moved the reeces around in order for it to spread to the edges.

Ding, ding, ding!
I loved these, and think they’ll be super cute in alternating rows of pink and white on a dessert table.
