Things in a Foil

My parents have always made these and when we remember to make them I’m always glad we did! They’re simple and fun to assemble, you can throw pretty much any vegetable in there you like. We create an assembly line of ingredients and make ours buffet style, then throw them on the grill. This is a kid friendly food and you can get them involved in the assembly process which thrills my daughter to pieces. :)

Ingredients:
Ground Beef shaped into patties
Carrots – sliced
Onion – sliced
Potatoes – sliced
Bell Pepper – sliced
Garlic – minced or powder
Salt
Pepper
Whatever else sounds good to you, throw it on in there :)

  • Step 1
Cut a decent sized sheet of foil, and spray a little pam in the center. Season your hamburger meat if you like.
  • Step 2
Place 4 thick slices of potato in a square and place your hamburger patty on top. The potatoes keep the hamburger from charring and are also my favorite part because they get a little crispy.
  • Step 3
From here you can add whatever ingredients you like, in whatever order. Sprinkle some salt and pepper in there and garlic, then wrap the foil up around the sides of your ingredients and make sure you close it tightly.
  • Step 4
Throw them on the grill or in the oven on about 300-350 for 45 minutes to an hour depending on your oven or grill. If you stick a fork in the potatoes and they fall apart, they’re done :)
Just keep an eye on ‘em.
